St Nicholas Abbey

A 1658 Jacobean mansion, a steam train and single-cask rum. Naturally.

Cherry Tree Hill, St Peter · $$$

A working plantation in the northern hills with a Jacobean Great House built in 1658, a Victorian-style steam railway and its own single-cask rum distillery. Rich in history and very photogenic, it suits private rum experiences, small-group tours and memorable events.

Good to know

Private Rum Experience tours must be pre-booked by email with the heritage tourism team; the Signature Rum Experience runs on Fridays by appointment for a minimum of four. The estate also hosts private events and ceremonies, including on the steam train.
